This car started life as one of the last remaining brand new VTR bodyshells from Citroen.
The mandatory cage is fitted by Customer Cages, welded into the bare shell.
As a VTR Saxo was only available with a sun roof the entire roof panel is replaced with a new roof from a standard Saxo.
There is lots of work needed to get it to this stage, the roll cage is carefully primed prior to top coat.
This shot gives a better view of the car prior to the new roof
Body panels are carefully fitted and aligned.
Once the painting is complete there is lots of work to do to complete the fuel system including the installation of the fuel safety cell.
Fitment of the original dash and demister system is mandatory and electrics have to incorporate safety cut off switches and the addition of the fire extinguisher system to discharge into the driver area and engine compartment.
The finished car undergoes shake down at Rockingham Motor Speedway. Watch the website to see the car in full livery ahead of the 2015 season.
