We here at Westbourne have always prided ourselves in building perfection. Over the years we have restored a variety of race and road cars. This is with thanks to our dedicated bodywork department who only strive for the best in what they do.
Paint spray booth
We have our own paint shop at Westbourne which we use to great effect to ensure the perfect paint job of all cars that we restore. Westbourne believe in getting the look of your car exactly how you want it and we only use the best paints and the best equipment to get the job done. Our Lenham Sprite GT (before and after below) was a project we completed in just two months and in its first race at Goodwood in the Members Meeting, it won at the first attempt in the hands of James Colburn.
Sand blasting facility
Westbourne have recently invested in a new shot blasting facility which makes complete restorations faster and easier. It is brilliant for stripping paint and to remove any rust to really see your shell or parts for their true condition. We can then recondition any parts or fabricate your shell to make it look perfect for you. This rare and wonderful NSU 1200TT brought in by a customer as a rather tired looking shell but after we had worked our magic on it, the car is now in perfect condition and ready to go back to its owner.
Fabrication
Fabrication is always difficult to master but here at Westbourne, we are very lucky to have well trained and highly experienced fabricators that can repair or create anything to make your shell ready for completing its restoration. Here is an example of our exceptional fabrication and bodywork team with our beautiful MG YB restored last year in time for the Goodwood Revival in 2019.
